LBJ/LASA First Ladies Dance Team Spring Show
Come support the LBJ/LASA First Ladies Spring Show "Fame" on Friday, May 4th at 6 pm and Saturday, May 5th at 11 am in the Theater.  Tickets (available soon from any of the First Ladies) will be $5 in advance, $10 at the door, 5 & under free.
LASA{CS} wins UIL Regional
The team of Russell Coleman (Sr), Will Fisher (Jr), Will Slaton (Jr), and Samuel Tian (Fr) won the regional UIL Computer Science competition at UT San Antonio. The team thus qualifies for the state competition on May 4th. In the individual written test Russell Coleman, Will Fisher, and Samuel Tian finished 1st, 2nd, and 4th respectively.
Interested in joining the LASA CAC?
The LASA CAC is accepting applications for membership starting next school year. The available positions are parent positions and a community member position. Note that under AISD's CAC By-Laws, parent members may not be AISD employees.  
 
Terms are for two years.  Meetings are monthly on the first Wednesday of each month at 4 pm.  Please complete an application and submit it to Principal Stacia Crescenzi no later than Wednesday, April 25 (stacia.crescenzi@austinisd.org). Applicants will be notified by April 28, and new members will be invited to attend the CAC meeting on Wednesday, May 2.

AP Breakfasts Need Your Help
PFLASA and LASA are joining forces to provide a community breakfast for all students who are taking morning AP exams May 7 - 18 - that is a total of 1346 individual test takers over the course of the two weeks! Please consider supporting these efforts by volunteering or contributing additional funds to make these breakfasts a nutritious, relaxing experience before they take their exams. Thank you!

APUSH Breakfast
Parents of the Junior Class:  We will host the breakfast for the AP U.S. History exam on May 11th.  A sign up sheet asking for food donations will be sent out in late April through the class google group. If you haven't done so,  please go to the PFLASA link on the LASA homepage and join the Class of 2019 google group to receive updates and more detailed information.  Thank you.

Please note that the APUSH breakfast is NOT part of the other school efforts to provide breakfast during AP testing.  Please contact ytorres08@gmail.com with any questions.
Talk on Getting Girls the Representation They Deserve in STEM Fields

Talk on Alzheimer's and New Standard of Care
Ms. Alyssa Aguirre, manager of the recently-opened Mulva Mental Health Clinic at Dell Medical School will talk about the clinic's new approaches to treating Alzheimer's sufferers. The Mulva Clinic uses a patient-centered and evidence-based approach to delivering Alzheimer's treatment and care. LASA students and parents are invited.
