Bring Your Parents to School Days
Tuesday, September 19th (B Day)
Wednesday, September 20th (A Day)

"Bring Your Parents to School Day" is a wonderful opportunity to attend your student's classes and see what great things they are experiencing at LASA. Pre-Registration is closed, but you can still attend by registering at the LASA office on the day you attend. Hope to see you there!

Casie, our BYPTS Day Coordinator, is looking for volunteers to help sign parents in and provide general support on one or both days. Please contact her at casie@tibbettsfamily.com.
ACL Tickets on PTSA Auction Now!
ACL Weekend 2 tickets are now open for bidding at our PTSA online Auction page through the end of this month!  Please support us by bidding here instead of buying from ACL which still has tickets available.

The second phase of the Auction opens in November, just in time for holiday shopping! If you can help with donations please email: lbjlasaprojectgrad@gmail.com
Jagnation Tailgate
Join the PTSA this Thursday, September 21st  @ 6pm in the Nelson Field parking lot (to the right of the front entrance) for the first JagNation football tailgate of the year. All LBJ/LASA students, parents, and friends invited for free hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, and bananas.
Reflections Creative Contest
The LBJ/LASA PTSA is organizing a Reflections contest again this year. Reflections is a national program fostering creativity and the arts.  Students may submit entries in one of 6 categories - dance choreography, photography, film production, visual arts (painting, drawing, etc.), literature, or musical composition.   Entries due no later than November 1st and may be turned in to the LASA or LBJ offices. Entries will be judged at the school level, and a percentage of those will move to the council level.  From there entries may go on to the state and national levels.

For more information click here, or contact Reflections Chair Virginia Jones at virginiajones00@gmail.com or 512-289-6455 (c).

Wishes of the Week
Principal Crescenzi is looking for a used golf cart for the security monitors to use.  Please contact Principal Crescenzi at (512)414-6581 or screscen@austinisd.org if you have one.

Administrative Assistant Adela Sifuentes is requesting a wireless mouse and keyboard.  If you have either or both of these to donate please drop off in the LASA office. Thanks!

World Geography/AP Human Geography  teacher Cody Moody is in need of a set of computer speakers, preferably with a small woofer speaker because the ones connected to his  innovation station no longer work.  Please contact Mr. Moody at cody.moody@austinisd.org if you have questions and drop off speakers in his room (#202) or in the LASA office.
Men's Lacrosse
Like fun, fast and physical sports? Check out men's high school lacrosse!

Our Knights Men's Lacrosse Team is growing and we want to meet you! Join us on Sunday, 9/24, from 2-4 pm, for our Men's Knights Lacrosse Team Social & Pool Party. Coaches, returning players and their families will be there to welcome new and prospective players and their families, have some fun, and answer all your lacrosse questions.

Lacrosse is fast, physical and a blast to play at the high school level. Already play a fall or winter sport? No problem! Lacrosse is a spring season sport (with fall preseason practices for players without fall/winter sports conflicts). Never played before? No previous lacrosse experience necessary! Most who try it get hooked :-).

Knights Men's Lacrosse is a Division II team open to students from LBJ, LASA and McCallum. Pool Party details can be found at the link above. We hope to see you there! For questions, contact Amy Kulik at amoose.kulik@gmail.com.
